Ambient Corporation to Exhibit Its Home Gateway for Power Line Communications At CeBIT Exhibition in Hanover, Germany March 14 - 20

Key Components of Ambient's End-To-End Solution for Power Line Communications are in Place

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 14, 2002-- Ambient Corporation (OTC BB:ABTG - news), a leading provider of Power Line Communications (PLC) technology, announced today the completion of its Home Gateway and Router components.

The Gateway (GW) Node is the termination point of the PLC communications network, ending at the customer's premises. The Gateway (GW) provides both a PLC interface to the low voltage line, as well as standard network interfaces, such as Ethernet, to which the customer's equipment can be connected.

The Router is deployed along the medium and low voltage powerlines and transports the PLC communications signals between the substation and the customer's premises.

Ram Rao, Ambient's Chief Network Architect stated, ``The completion of the Home Gateway and Router manufactured by Canberra Aquila, Inc., utilizing the chipset from our partner DS2, along with our proprietary coupler means that all the major pieces of Ambient's end-to-end network architecture are now firmly in place.''

The Home Gateway will be exhibited in DS2's booth (Powerline Center, Hall 12, Booth C30) at the CeBIT Exhibition in Hanover, Germany from March 14th through March 20th. CeBIT is the world's largest and most prestigious exhibition of its kind. CeBIT features seminars and presentations that attract some 50,000 technology professionals from all over the world. For the 2nd consecutive year CeBIT will feature a special demonstration of Power Line Communications technology.
